Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), is a neurodevelopmental disorder that often affects individuals and is mostly commonly diagnosed during childhood. ADHD in children and teens typically presents through persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Symptoms of inattention include difficulty sustaining focus, careless mistakes, and being easily distracted. Hyperactive behaviors might involve constant fidgeting, excessive talking, and an inability to stay seated. Impulsivity is often seen in interrupting others, difficulty waiting their turn, and making hasty decisions without considering consequences. These symptoms can affect academic performance, social interactions, and daily functioning, highlighting the need for early identification and management.
