What Is ADHD?

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurocognitive disorder that affects executive functioning.

What Are Symptoms Of ADHD?

People who suffer from ADHD experience difficulties with attention, concentration, memory, and impulse control. You may have feelings of an inability to remain still, or a constant feeling of being restless. Poor impulse control can lead to low self esteem and performance in personal and professional relationships.

How Is ADHD Diagnosed?

ADHD is diagnosed by collecting and evaluating symptom history. Our providers are trained to complete a psychiatric evaluation from birth to present age. Screening tools may be used to help quantify the severity of ADHD.

What Are Treatment Options For ADHD?

Treatment options for ADHD include medications such as stimulants and non-stimulants that target attention, concentration, hyperactivity, and impulse control. More importantly, ADHD is treated with behavioral therapy that may include techniques to improve organization, time management, impulse control, frustration tolerance, and emotional regulation.
